Yes!!!<3

Thank goodness!
-bows down to MITES Admission people-
I was having a major freak-out, trying to contact my math teacher who’s recommendation didn’t go through.

Now we know that overloading their server is a convenient way to extend the deadline~

MITES alumni: what were the age range for the people who attended MITES?

@skyjac I’m not alumni, but considering they’re all juniors, probably between 16-17 for the most part…

Btw guys, ~7 hours! Btw, what’d everyone say about how MITES will help you in the future? I think my answer was too generic.

Pencils Down!

I submitted it at 5:02…you guys think i’m screwed? I forgot to save my essays and than send the app…and i did that two consecutive times like a ■■■■■■, i feel kinda stupid, but i did receive an email confirming that the app was sent to them.

OH CRAP! I didn’t realize it was at 5:00, and I JUST submitted it… :/

Guys, am I screwed? Or do you think they’ll still accept it?

If the system accepted it I would think you would be ok.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Lesley: me either! ugh i just submitted!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH D; everything is time stamped D’’’:

the website only said Feb 15…not the time );

It said 5Pm but if it went through, I am sure you’re fine.

Can you guys see the status of your application? I submitted about 5 days ago and since then till the deadline I could see the checklist. Now I cannot access that…(my counselor sent her recommendation by mail so it says not received for that as of yesterday).

Skyjac
thanks. you’re right. It did say 5pm on the announcement. o.O

well, best of luck to everyone!

@Skyjac- most of the people turned 17 actually during MITES but there were mostly late 16’s/ early 17’s and I think there was one person who was 18 but then me and another girl had just turned 16!

by the way, don’t freak out if the system doesn’t have a “check” by your materials. I actually never saw the check marks on my materials and I was accepted so just bear with the process and realize that there were (well, last year) nearly 2500 applications that were begun and 1500 that were completed… best of luck to you all! I seriously wish that I could be going back to MITES… it was the best experience of my life so far.

Now that we’ve applied and January 28th SAT scores are out, why don’t we do this to kill the time?

Cuban
UW GPA: 3.84
W GPA: 4.20
PSAT: 73CR, 66M, 66W —> 207
SAT: 730CR, 760M, 740W/12 essay —> 2230

I’m mad about the SAT though… -1 math was a 760. :(

I’ll post my stats.

Indian Male from Texas
UW: 4.0/4.0
Rank: 1/803
PSAT: 67 + 80 + 76 = 223
SAT: 750 + 800 + 790 = 2340
Many ECs in math and science.
Numerous awards in regional and some state competitions.

I have a so-so resume, but sadly being an Indian probably isn’t considered a minority enough.

Yeah, probably rejected because SAT scores. But decent stats, a lot of extracurriculars mostly in math/science. Plus really good essays (in my opinion, probably terrible in others).

I’m just hoping i can get into E2 or that MOSTEC.
