No doubt. I’d rather just open a piece of mail inadvertently and see the words “I’m sorry…” or “Congratulations…” It would be so much easier.

This… this is pain. I mean, what if my internet goes out while I’m logging on. I might legitimately have a heart attack before realizing that my internet actually went out and that MITES had not posted my decision yet, insinuating that I was rejected.

with so many applicants i am sure they will save lots of $$ that way

but will they have a definite date in which all application status’ (rej. or acc.) will be posted or will they continue to add starting in mid-april and going until late?

It would make more sense if they just released them all at once (hopefully). Or they could do what they did in 2009 where they released acceptances around April 5th and continuing on and gave people until April 13th to confirm their attendance. Then, they sent rejections at or around April 13th.

do you think this MITES class will be the largest?..there has to be an unusually larger number of applicants if the website crashed a few times this application process…right?

Today I walked to the mailbox hoping that my letter would be there… when I saw only small envelopes I started chanting “they haven’t sent it yet, they haven’t sent it yet”… I think I need to find out for my mental well being. Actually, scratch that, I need to GET IN for my mental well being.

well, there’s barely anyone around to keep this thread afloat… my speculation is that there are less applicants this year, or at least less applicants brave enough to go on CC and post. coughforumcreeperscough As for the website crashes, perhaps our app due dates coincided with something happening in undergrad admissions or a couple of applicants uploaded 9999 page essays. :P

Even though decisions are supposed to show up online, I just checked the mail and my heart stopped because there was a white envelope from MIT, but it was just for my parents since my brother goes there :/
