MITES 2013 Discussion

I didn’t know there is a talent show! That’s great! :)

What talents do you guys have?

I have rhythm and I love to dance. However, I must inform you that it is usually to songs like I’m Different and Teach Me How To Douggie. I guess it’s the black side of me. lol

I wish I could dance… Whenever I go to family wedding or parties, I feel like a disgrace to my hispanic heritage. xD

I will not participate.

Rivstein, Oh come on :stuck_out_tongue: It could be fun

Dream Girl…uh…I have no idea…

@Nashia No but if we get in I’ll learn it xD.

Also, yeah there is a talent show, last year they did a parody for “call me maybe” and they called it “accept us maybe.” I want to participate but asides from being able to eat a lot and guitar I got nothing.

Okay, once again, I’ll try to address different things:

If I get in, then I need you guys to unlame me. I am not very into pop culture, can’t really dance, and would like the MITES crew to help me learn these things. You guys make me feel lame sometimes!

Being a guy, these are things I look for in a girl:

Intelligence (a MUST, I couldn’t stand being with a dumb girl for long)

At least moderately decent good looks (you don’t need to be a Victoria’s Secret angel, but being a guy with male wiring, I’m looking for someone who can attract me physically as well)

Ambition (someone who has a goal in life and strives for it)

Funny-ness

Good character (honesty, morals, etc.)

Fellow nerdiness (I’m not a huge Star Wars freak, video game freak, Pokemon freak, etc. so not necessarily that kind of nerdiness.)

I would prefer a girl to be nonreligious

Other things that I cannot think of right now

Out of curiosity, is anyone here a big math person? I do lots of math competitions. Has anyone done the AMC and AIME this year? I just took the AIME II today, and I am wondering if any of you guys took the AIME as well.

If I get in, I’d look forward to watching the talent show, not so much being in it.
I do choir and theater, but I prefer doing it in a darkened theater where I can’t see the audience. Otherwise I tend to chicken out xD

@Lovely I feel bad for my hispanic heritage because I don’t dance at all xD. I could try but I must really like the person I’m dancing with in order to do that.

@Ozzy: Same here! I usually only dance if someone asks me, and even then it’s only because I’m bad at saying no xD Luckily, my school has a no-dancing rule so our school “dances” are really just banquets, haha.

I don’t perform. Nope. As a slam poetry instructor once told me, I have an “extreme case of stage fright.” One time before a Caesar rectitation to my English class, my heart was pounding hard enough that my friend could see it thudding inside of my chest. (I was wearing a scoop-neck shirt, so she could see my skin, but, regardless, that level of performance anxiety cannot be normal.)

And I can’t dance either xD. I took a few months’ worth of belly dance classes freshman year, and sometimes I go to Zumba, but aside from that, I tend to avoid all dancing.

Dances at my school are grind fests. I don’t mind it, but I find indecency somewhat unattractive.

If I dance, I would be the horribly awkward and uncoordinated one :/

@Rivs you got a grind fest, down here its dryhumping.

@Ozzy Suave.

You guys have had some interesting dances. lol

Also, it doesn’t matter how we perform (too much). The only thing that matters is that we’ll have fun doing it. Unless lldm21 dies… then that might not be so fun. You get the point though.

And the reason why I said I have rhythm is because I can dance and on beat. I just don’t necessarily know all the moves. I do my own thing. Like a boss! lol

I… can’t dance. My friends say I can. They lie.

I would probably bring my viola and play a concerto or something. Or transpose/arrange something. I like doing things like that. :D

Oh, and dream girl:
Intelligent. Compassionate. Understanding of my occasional craziness and willing to be crazy with me at times. Runs, because I love running. And in addition to being intelligent, she should probably philosophize every now and then. Thinking about the world is cool.
(I’ve actually already met her, so it’s not much of a dream at this point. :)

@Hoctopi Cute
@Nashia What do you mean by Suave? lol

Everyone in MITES, I love you all. Pray for me to get into SIMR… Please <3 thanks

Alpha, I’m praying for SIMR too… Fingers crossed:O

Ostruck, are you 1st to attend college?
