Hello, If I am black/chinese...should I apply to MITES, because I know they usually only accept full african americans, native americans, and hispanics and very few asians. thanks! and what stats would I need?

hey,

yes, I think you should apply, as I did last year (but I didn't get in). I'm Chinese, but I don't think that was the main thing that got me rejected (but it doesn't matter in the end because I ended up working with a MIT professor on a research project elsewhere).

anyone else?

Apply anyways - what's there to lose? ;)

I went to MITES this past summer.

If you're accepted, you'll have the time of your life. I didn't think I would get in, but I applied anyway. There were plenty of "halfas" such as myself (half taiwanese, half caucasian). As far as I can see, being black and asian is double points. So...APPLY!
