Today we were assigned seats for lunch to get to mingle with new people, but most people were immature and sat in their normal seats, so it failed

I can't think of an interesting thread to start

^ How many people at your school Maple?

do people at your school eat lunch in a cafeteria?

You sound shocked TCBH where did you eat lunch in HS?

Putting aside the fact that I didn’t eat lunch in high school, there was no cafeteria to eat in.

TCBH that kind of asks more questions than it answers…

I also didn’t eat lunch in HS. Nor do I eat in now.

But my reasons are probably different than his.

My elementary school had a cafeteria that sat ~100, for a school of 720. My middle school had a similar sized cafeteria, with 1400 students. My high school didn’t have a cafeteria, with 2400 students.

I usually had a snack after school. I had lunch once or twice a week after school got out.

^ That makes sense although Maple appears to lve Downeast Maine… Not may people there…

Hmm, I didn’t eat lunch in HS because I’m never hungry at the times they served, so I’d end up buying it and wasting my money. Eventually, I just stopped buying anything.

I don’t eat lunch now because of the above, plus I can’t cook worth a damn and the on campus food is gross.

I never eat in the cafeteria. I go to a classroom.

lol Our school has ~ 600 people, and 300 people per lunch. We used to eat lunch everywhere in the school, but no longer can because of classes and stuff, since we now have lunch and classes at the same time due to fights (probably lower in number than at y’all’s schools (exc. probably TYIL)) We eat lunch all around the first floor, but apparently had enough tables and chairs to fit everyone.

We never eat in the cafeteria. People either hang out around school, go home, or go downtown for lunch.

Makes it easier to mix with different groups/people.

you guys can leave school for lunch ???

We have an open campus. So people leave during brunch, lunch, etc.

My friend regularly runs home to get her forgotten homework during class. haha

what???

we aren’t allowed to leave the school between 8:00 and 2:30 or it’s considered truancy

we can. but no one does, really, unless they have a release right around lunchtime… no good restaurants near the school.

I think we had a “Mixed Lunch Day” in middle school; it similarly failed.

Now in high-school 70% of the people (who aren’t seniors), sit on the floor. Awfully uncomfortable, kind of. I think our school has ~1200 people.

Seniors can go out for lunch, which is nice because it kind of reduces the overcrowding.

Our lunch is actually 20 minutes, and it takes 15 minutes to drive to my house haha

Really? :[

Our lunches are 45-50 minutes and it’s a 3 minute drive to our downtown. Maybe I should downduct you to my school Maple.
