I have searched a great deal about the program, but to no real success. Can some kind-hearted soul help me out? I have not found anything about the exact number of people accepted, number of people who applied, statistics it takes to get in, and etc. What exactly does the program require and how hard is it to get in? I know some people who have high grades will expect to go to better medical schools and therefore not apply, while those with lower grades may also not bother. Can someone tell me the average GPA of an accepted student? Also can a student in the MMEDIC program tell me about how hard the program itself is? Any bit of information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The program is largely pointless… those that get in would get into medical school anyways. The only real advantage is if you don’t think you will get a score higher than 30 on the MCAT.

Can you elaborate? Boston University School of Medicine is rather hard to get into and requires pretty good statistics. It is nice to be assured into a good medical school. You need much higher than a 30 MCAT to get into medical schools of that caliber. It all depends on the GPA as well, if you know what the accepted students GPA is. If you need a 4.0 then you would be right and you might as well apply to other medical schools since you would get into other medical schools anyway. If it is not as high, I believe the program is very helpful for many people.

The students who get in tend to have GPA’s north of 3.5. I wanna say MMEDIC takes like 12 students a year but I might be wrong. Really the benefit is for the college because most of those students could get into better medical schools.
