i got in too, i am really excited, it is perfect for my interests!!!!! But I got into Stanford and my parents are really pushing for it, and they will pay the money. What to do? Is MMSS really a huge thing not to be passed up?

go to stanford.

yea, as much as I love the program, Stanford is amazing, I would go there. (i was rejected scea)

yeah, that's what everyone keeps telling me, but I still love the program and didn't expect to get in to Stanford anyway, so it was never really part of the mix like NU always was

have you visited stanford? you'll know if its for you

got in too

Education-wise, MMSS is a special program unmatched by anywhere else. You are not going to get a more rigorous training by just doing econ at Stanford instead of econ+MMSS at NU (I did my master at Stanford and to me, NU is just as rigorous at least in my field). But of course prestige is a factor. So it's more like substance vs prestige here.
