Is it possible to request more financial assistance? I need the money and my mom is not allowed to cosign on a loan for me. My SAT scores were alright: Reading 550 Math520 Writing 500. That does not define me. I finished high school with a 3.99 GPA. I was a part of UIL Academics. My events were accounting, mathematics, calculator applications, literary criticism, computer science, and computer applications. I advanced to regionals my freshman and junior years. It was unheard of for a freshman to go to regionals. My senior year, I was a founding member of FRC Team 4610 BearTecs. This was the first time that Bastrop, Texas had a robotics team. We took part and the Dallas Regional as a rookie team and came out as winners. We were then qualified fore the World Championships in St. Louis. We made our community aware of the importance of STEM education and careers. I also have up to 100 hours of community service. Please help me out!

I informed Hofstra that they were my first choice but I needed additional aid to attend. They offered me $1,000 for years ($250 a year)–not enough to go to Hofstra. The college is very expensive.
