I didn't go to Summer@Brown but I have the Personal Information link and it has my address and information.

hmm does your address/phone number show up in the view address thing?

"Are there any of you who were Summer @ Brown students but don't have access to "Personal Information?"

Yup! :( I did a 3-week course this past summer. Good theory though.

yeah, all of the info i gave them on the application appears there. it's quite possible that they're doing it for everyone, and are slowly getting around to setting it up for the people who applied closer to the deadline. but it's still odd that i have access to class enrollment and viewing grades and the like.

Stern: that makes sense... I hope you're right! Given that I submitted my application at 12:15 am EST on Nov. 1 (deadline was by 5 pm on Nov. 1, so I wasn't late, but fairly close to the deadline...), it's possible they just haven't gotten around to me yet.

I'll just pretend that's true, because it's comforting ^_^

Hmmm... I submitted almost a week before the deadline, so I'm not so sure on that theory either.

Yeah, I applied on Oct. 30th, so I guess that wouldn't be the case if you can't see the extra options... I guess the only thing we're left with is that it's purely random?

Meh you guys are probably right... oh well, guess I'll find out soon enough either way.

yeah it must just be random then... i can't believe we find out in NINE days (and nine minutes)!

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, Brown's online systems are a bit behind, actually, compared to a lot of school's (ironic, since they have their super advanced computer sciences....). I think because they use the same system for admissions, registration, course catalogue browsing, etc., the accounts are pre-set to have all those menus in them, and they probably didn't disable the menus for everyone. I've been taking a class at Brown this semester, so I could access the selfservice.brown.edu site long before I sent in my application, and my account has remained the exact same with all those menus.

Now, just like last year, my spreadsheet of info with the receipt of my forms at the Application Summary page has disappeared.

Suspense!

Skyway, What do you mean by "just like last year?"

Applicants last year also had their spreadsheets disappear at some point. They speculated as to the meaning without coming to a definite conclusion.

Oh, thank you. I wonder if at that point, they would no longer accept any missing documents, thus closing that particular section.

Yeah, mine disappeared today too. I guess it doesn't mean anything.

Mine did too.

yeah same here

Keep a look out for "The Button." Last year for admissions, a very odd button "Click Here" found its way on several applications shortly after the spreadsheets disappeared, in the Decision row. I'm just curious if the procession of events will occur as before..

hmm can you elaborate on the events that occurred last year w/the "click here" button?

Well, shortly BEFORE (my bad) spreadsheet removal some people started seeing "Click Here" buttons early next to the Decision section. This actually happened starting late November, and occurred for most individuals right before the removal of their spreadsheets.

The button linked to a page that contains something along the lines of:
"<date></date>

Dear Name,

Admission decisions are currently not available. Check the Undergraduate Admission web site for specific dates and times.

The Board of Admission"

They were updated with the appropriate decisions on the 14th for that year.

Since we've had our spreadsheets removed and haven't been graced with The Button yet, I suppose we can rest easy (or not? what could it possibly mean?).

Also, anyone have their Application Status page expanded with the new options when they didn't before? I'm just curious.
