More SAT II Tests Necessary?

Hi all,

I have already taken the SAT II Subject Test Biology E (770) and Math II (800). I was considering also taking the Physics and Chemistry tests, but I'm not sure if I really need to. I took AP Mechanics last year (5) and I'm taking AP E/M this year, but the optics and wave stuff is still tripping me up, and I'm unsure if I can get an 800 (currently sitting at like 780 :P). I'm also taking AP Chem, and I love chemistry, so I'm confident I can get 800 in that.

Do you guys think it's worth [the money] and taking the bit of time to study for two more subject tests if I'm already taking the AP courses which I know I will get 5s in? I understand that curves for AP are higher, so to many of the top-tier schools I'm applying to, would a high SAT II score look better? Also, I'm pretty geared towards science, but do I need more than two subject tests?

Thanks!

Usually you don’t need more than two subject tests. I took Math II and Physics, and that was enough for me. On the other hand, I know someone who got accepted into Harvard who took like seven subject tests.
