Morning versus Lunch question

Quick engineering schedule question: Is it better to

have 4 out of 5 days with classes after 10 AM

OR

have 11:30 to 1:30 (lunch time) free 5 days of the week, (with morning classes often)

Well that depends. Are you flexible about what time you eat or will you find yourself way too hungry if you have to wait until, say, 3PM? I personally don't worry about scheduling lunch time since I know I'll be ok if I have to eat earlier or later than normal.

BTW two hours for lunch isn't needed if lunch is all you plan to do in that timeframe.

If I leave lunch open, I'll use the time to do some work as well, maybe sleep some more lol, we'll see. Thank you for the info though, but I have one more question. Can we continue to add courses to our alternate bookbags AFTER June 26th?

Yup, you can keep using ACES to add/drop classes until two weeks into the semester.

beautiful, ty

When does lunch at the Marketplace end? Is it just a pick-up lunch (if you miss breakfast)

And one more thing; how far is the class for Chem 21L from the class for EGR53L. Is Chem and EGR in the same area, or are they a C-2 or C-3 bus ride away?

I think lunch ends at 2 PM.

Uh, you'd have to tell us where Chem 21 and Egr 53 are meeting.

chances are chem 21 is in gross chem and egr 53 is in pratt campus meaning they're a block away from each other... having them back to back is super convenient.

i'd personally have later classes than a super long lunch period, but i know i'm not a morning person.

Great, where are Math classes?

math classes are wherever.
you have more information on that than i do (aces tells you the building-- just let me know which building it says).

Physics 0047 (also how far are CIEMAS, Gross Chem, Art Building, Teer, and Engineering from one another) :) sorry bout the questions

Teer, engineering, and CIEMAS are literally steps from one another. If you walk up the outdoor staircase (when you're there, this will make sense) there'll be a traffic circle and the Physics building, so that's super close... but you're on Science Drive. Walk up the block to the corner of Towerview and Science Drive and that's Gross Chem.

The Art Building is on East.

Is the Marketplace still open during Fall/Spring break and Thanksgiving. If not, and we decide to stay on campus because we don't want to fly home for like 3 days, do we have to use our dining points for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or what?

If you decide to stay on campus, you're pretty much left for whichever West Campus vendors decide to stay open (I think The Loop has a Thanksgiving dinner) and whichever merchant on points delivery vendors still deliver... and going off campus and buying your own food with cash. But yeah, no marketplace so you will be using food points.

Ok, thanks. Are there any places to each lunch RIGHT NEAR Gross Chem. The reason I'm asking is that I have Chem 21L and then 30 minutes later I have Chem21L9 (lab), so I would like to get something to eat in between. Are there any restaurants literally a few steps away from the Gross Chem building so that I won't feel pressed for time, or is the nearest one a bus ride away?

Well, the PubPol building is pretty close (definitely close enough that you could comfortably walk there, eat, and get back in 30 minutes), and they have an AMAZING deli that everyone basically loves. You'll most probably go there.

Great! Do you know of any general restaurants near CIEMAS and PHYSICS also?

Near Gross Chem-- Sanford Deli across the street -- BC is nearby too.
As for restaurants near CIEMAS and Physics... there's Blue Express in the LSRC which is delicious and Twinnie's in CIEMAS (they have amazing sandwiches and a Starbucks) which is also really good... honestly, I go there to eat even when I have no classes in the area.
