Most acceptances are yet to arrive

I've noticed a lot of people saying they received rejection letters today. My guess is that rejection letters will arrive first, because they are sent through normal mail. The admissions package though is going to Priority Mail, which generally takes a little while longer.

Hang in there guys. If you live in Socal and didn't get anything today, my guess is you will probably be accepted.

hmm, priority mail takes longer than regular mail?

It's the other way around. Priority mail is faster than first class (regular) mail.

if you don't get accepted it is very understandable. do you know how to use logic? PRIORITY MAIL COMES F-A-S-T-E-R than regular mail. Hit your self in the forehead please.

It'll take 2 days for mail to get to us (usually). If they sent em Friday, then we'll get them Monday since there's no mail on Sunday.

I agree with the OP..I haven't seen very many acceptances yet, and seeing that this is CC (forum with numerous nerds [alliteration!]), there should be more acceptances than rejections.

i hope you're rite zotan!

Fellow CCViewer: This is my feeling too.
I'm surprised by the lack of acceptances this round when it was stated a couple of weeks ago that around 3000 or half of them had still to be sent out. Within those two weeks, there weren't all that many acceptances here on CC, so I have to assume that there weren't generally out there either.
Also, it was stated that the biggest wave would be on the 28th, as per a poster who called if I remember correctly.

I'm also surprised that they are mixing acceptances with denials, since last year the denials went out last...as a separate bunch as far as I know.

I hope that a lot of acceptances are till to come.

"All USC’s applicants will hear from the Enrollment Division Services by April 1st. There is no certain order in sending out admissions decisions to applicants. For all international students, the mailing will be handled through DHL."

That's what an admissions officer wrote to me in an e-mail. Hope it helps a bit.

Yeah, I mean when you think about it, they don't ship all decisions out at once..Maybe one truck arrived earlier (the rejection/acceptance mixed truck), and the other ones just...haven't been processed as fast. We'll see.

All the rejections have been California ones too. So maybe the acceptances were sent out at a different time of day or something?

I still dont understand this so called pattern?

well i mean its more likely that californians (specifically those in socal) should have received something
but one of my friends recieved rejection, other got spring admit

so we'll see what happens..

i didnt receive anything btw
i live less than an hour from usc

what's ur status

(3/26) reviewing app, (3/29) acted upon

both of of my friends had acted upon too

ya im from so cal as well and i havent received anything...and mine turned to acted upon 3/29

haha let's just hope its good news summerlovin

do you believe in the "pattern"
