Since there's a thread on this in College Life, why not make a thread about this in HSL too, since high schoolers are probably far more annoying than college students?

I'll start with a couple...

When freshmen don't realize that they're at the bottom of the pecking order. Freshmen who were "cool" back in middle school need to realize that they're below even the nerdiest upperclassman. It gets annoying seeing freshmen gang up and pick on nerdy Asian kids who are alone in the hallways.

When people scream and make obnoxious noises randomly in the hallway. I don't know what people gain from doing that -- no one thinks that they're "cool" or "badass" when they do that anyways.

People who are obnoxious anywhere, anytime. I especially hate it when a bunch of kids are making annoying noises in the bathroom. Whenever I walk near a bathroom during study hall, I always hear what sounds like a caveman orgy coming from it >_>

Kids who blatantly suck up to teachers.

Kids who can't stop themselves from bragging about their accomplishments. There's this girl in my class who can never stop talking about her damn "love for science" and her research. No one gives a crap about it anyways.

When people get 100s in AP classes and claim that they didn't study. Chances are, they did study. A lot.

People who take classes that are obviously too hard for them.

People who argue with the teacher just for the sake of arguing

When a student reminds the teacher that there was homework the previous night when the teacher forgets to check.

When people are overly judgmental and talk a lot of crap about other just to cover up their insecurity

OH MY GOSH, I completely agree with #2. Everyday before my 6th period class, this one freshman boy always screams and claps like a complete idiot in the hallway. The sounds echo in the hallways too, which makes everything so much worse.

I’ll add a few to the list :)

When blockheads pretend to act smart in a class. This sounds kind of rude and pretentious, but there’s this one girl in my Chemistry class… She isn’t the brightest bulb in the world, but she likes to flaunt her so-called “intelligence”. For example, today during class, the teacher was teaching a somewhat difficult concept. A lot of people were struggling, and she was in the back exclaiming, “oh my gosh, this is so easy,” like a million times. Mind you she normally scores Bs and high Cs on her quizzes and tests.

8. OMG. There’s this kid in my chem and physics classes… always fighting with the teacher trying to prove he’s right about things that aren’t even related to what we’re doing, and which he knows nothing about! For example, today his topic in chem was anti-matter. -.- We’re drawing Lewis diagrams.

When people ask ridiculous questions without even thinking. People need to either think before they speak, or get their facts right before they debate with the teacher.

And the question kid. You know, the kid who always has to ask 294749 questions in class everyday, even when the teacher is clearly behind and needs to go through the material as quickly as possible.

Yes I agree with your first one. The freshmen at my school are beyond annoying. Especially the freshmen girls.
2. When kids who don’t want to learn distract the whole class and prevent everyone else from learning.
3. And the worst of them all… When the easy girls talk to your bf/crush.

I’m not even a freshman but I think you’re being a bit harsh. And there are tons of Freshmen at my school who are way cooler than the nerdy seniors.

Anyway, let me see if I can add.

I don’t really like it when there’s always this one person that has to ask a question about every single thing in math, every example, every problem, and every so on.

I hateee people that walk ridiculously slow in the hallways.

Andd, I find it really annoying when someone’s being obnoxious in class, so the teacher calls them out, and they start getting obnoxious/arguing with the teacher.

When stupid people get angry at smart kids because they’re upset at getting an 85 or basically anything below 90. Sorry my standards are just a little higher than your “As long as I pass!” mentality.

-When people say inflammatory things in class just to start an argument or hold controversial opinions just so people will disagree with them.

-When people use big words really blatantly and repetitively so the teacher will think they’re smart (this applies to normal life as well). There’s a kid in my English class who’s addicted to the word introspection and uses it at every possible opportunity.

-Also, the people who stretch out across the whole empty hallway evenly spaced and walk reeeeaaallly slowly, so that there’s virtually no way to get by. Also, people that push, as if you can walk any faster when there’s a massive traffic jam.

^ this is sooo me! I mean like seriously… People think I’m the MOST ANNOYING KID ever just because of this. I’ve been recently getting grades from 85-90% and I kinda (by kinda I mean a lot lol) complain, and all the stupid people hates it -_____- excuse me for trying to be ace the class!!!
