My friend took 21 AP classes in high school. She did independent study for 5 of them. I think she took 9 exams this year.

(She’s going to Yale.)

This year(junior), I’ve taken four APs but I didn’t really feel that stressed out. In fact, I’ll go far enough to say that this was a relatively easy year! : O But thats because I took mainly easy AP classes and plus, I ENJOYED them! VERY IMPORTANT
AP Stats
AP USH
AP English Comp.
AP Computer Science(most stressful for me : ( )

Next year, i’m gonna take 8 AP classes(Physics is like 2 AP tests) I wonder if I’ll be pushed to the limit then.

A friend of mine did 5 APs and another I know is doing 6 or 7 APs. Heh I could barely handle 2. :P

Hm… I’ve done 14?
Kinda broke my school & counties record… but it’s so not worth it.
What do I get out of it? Oh yeah, a ton of college credit that won’t matter because I’ll just take fun classes & classes for my one/two majors. Higher class standing then? Yeah, that’s it.

I have one test on my last day of high school, self studying it too.
Hella lame? I think so. I mean, I could be signing yearbooks or doing something fun.
BUT NOOOOO
I get to sit and listen to “please remove your test from the shrink-rapped package” for the 14th time.
At this point, I have the script memorized, and even corrected my proctor today when she skipped a sentence. IT’S TORTURE! no doubt about that. pure torture.

i’m going six this year, and that’s hell enough. eight is suicide! really.

A friend of mine will be doing 8 next year also (as a senior). But she’s doing it because she doesn’t want to look like a failure after who sister who currently attends Harvard. I think she’ll have 15 or 16 by the end of senior year total. I’ll only have 11 at the end of senior year, because I toned it down for senior year (1 frosh, 1 during soph, 4 during junior, 5 during senior). Still I’m taking a math course now that now other school offers, and its tougher than AP Calc, so except for the exam, it could be considered an AP, and this year my school thought it would be funny to turn the honors spanish (no AP offered junior year) into the AP curriculum, with AP grades, but no exam, so thats like 6 APs this year. And next year I’m doing a course that is college-level, and you get college credit, but there is no exam, so its like AP. I guess that means I am taking only 11 official APs, but virtually 14 APs. This year with 4 wasn’t so bad except when all teh teachers would pile all the work into a single week.

Kid @ old school 12

Ran out of stickers LOL

To everyone who’s advising against economics. I HAVE to take an economics class, I need half of a credit from that. It’s required at my school. I have no time for one during the year too. That being said, I’m still interested in economics and what it’s all about.

To clear things up a little bit, I’m not taking as many AP’s as possible so I can earn as much college credit as possible. I’m doing it to push myself and learn as much as I can

I’m doing 5 APs next year as a senior. I’ve only taken 2 so far. I feel so behind! Eng Lit, Micro econ (maybe macro too, depending on how the class goes; the class is called “AP economics” but has an emphasis in micro), Calc BC, Enviro Sci, and US Gov.

I took eight tests this year…it’s…haha…yeah. It gets tiring after the sixth or so test. It wan’t horrible, since I actually like AP tests, lol. And actually, you have exactly enough labels, haha. Definitely be prepared before testing weeks though. It will make it MUCH less stressful. You definitely don’t want to be cramming for eight tests! So be careful if you self-study. Pace yourself and you’ll be okay.

9th grade: 1
10th: 3
11th: 5 + 3 IBs
12th: 5 + 4 IBs

= 14 APs and 7 IBs

KILL ME NOOW.

I took 26 to get into Starfleet. Klingon is like impossible to get a 5 on. No, seriously. If you’re close, the paper comes to life and punches you in the face.

I did 8 this year, and it wasn’t bad…maybe cuz I am a native spanish speaker LOL

AP Spanish Lit
AP Spanish Lang
AP Psych
AP Environmental
AP Calc AB
AP Biology
AP Physics B
IB Math Studies

I’ve taken 9. Stats, World, Bio, and Human Geo as a Sophomore and Chem, USH, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Language as a Junior. I honestly can’t imagine taking more. I’ve had 4 in the past 3 days and right now im foaming at the mouth haha. Crossing my fingers that i qualified for National AP Scholar haha.

I know this Indian kid who took 2 his sophomore year, 10 last year, and 9 this year. Thus far he has gotten all 5’s. He’s also valedictorian and NMS. He’s going to UPenn next year. A lot of people think he’s a robot, but once you get to know him he is actually has a really good personality. Obsessively controlling parents tho. They’re moving with him to college. Seriously.

^^ Did you take micro and macro at the same time? How did you feel about those classes?
