Most Extreme Cases of GPA/SAT Discrepancy

ive got 4.0... but only 2210.
it's interesting cuz the other 4.0s at my school have like 2360, 2320, 2310, etc.

i feel inferior. -_-

Yeah Liberty, that definitely doesn't count

bleh. at least its too extreme of a discrepancy for my likings.

hey....im new to the SAT thingy here...im going to take it on october....but so far, i think im pretty bad at MATH! >-<, anway, my bro took the march test and told me it was EXTREMELY HARD, plus the other students were all freaking out and only 2 egyptian students were very preapred for the hard questions. So what kind of questions should i practice on??? ..and if anyone can help me out with GEOMETRY pls..i never took geometry at my school!
i hope the october test will be easy!! wAAaah im only in 3rd yr!

Regards,
Patty

Averaging only academic classes together (Math, Sci., Eng., Hist., and Lang.) I have about a 2.7 or C+ average (school doesn't calc GPA), but I have a 1770 on the new sat.

4.0 on UW GPA (advanced classes are taken), 4.06 Weighted GPA, and 139 on my Sophomore PSAT (yes, the NEW one)! Woo! The only excuse I have for this score is that English is not my native language... or this is no longer an excuse...

I think I would have one of the largest discrepancies. I have a 4.00 GPA unweighted, ranked 1st of over 500 students, take AP/honors classes, yet my scores definitely don't reflect any of it. I got a bit over 1600 on my SAT, and mid 20's for my ACT. My AP's...I passed one of a few. I will retake all my tests, however, I don't know how to raise it, and why none of it really matches up. Do you guys have any tips to raise scores, test better, etc.? Thanks!

3.9/4.0 Uw, 4.7/5.0 W

212 Psat

I'm not seeing the discrepancy...

The most I've ever seen is a 3.2 and a 1590.

A girl who used to be ranked 4th (I'm 4th now) in my school had an SAT's of 1530/2400

how did u get that score!!!???
i heard that most students MUST get atleast 2000 to enter a college! true?
jst heard that from the "mister" who gave my bro the test on may, how did u prepare for urself man? im good at learning fast AND forget right away!! i hate my brain!!! grrrrrrrrrrr..........tell me ur secret ;) will yah?

"i heard that most students MUST get atleast 2000 to enter a college! true?"

Looks like only 7 percent of sat takers are going to college then

bitter sweet not trying to be mean maybe its not your own ability but the easiness of your schooL?

I can understand how some students with high GPA's may not have stellar test scores, but what reason is there not to do well on AP exams?! It's not much of a matter of aptitude on those exams, it's knowing the material. Please give me an excuse, those of you who fit this category.

I just told you, the stupidity of the school/class. Sounds harsh but so true it ****ed me off some times how a rank 1 from a stupid school is really cocky. They should go to a competitive school and see how they miserably fail.

schools r not good anymore...i tell ya dis... INDIAN SCHOOLS r still better than any other kind, im not sure about others...i just had to be an old student of an indian school, man they teach really hard stuff and ALL students r so competetive! they get above 93%!! i know i wasnt that high,...my grades were normal.. 85% above..

Indian schools? Try Chinese, Japanese, or Korean schools. Those are rough
