Most Extreme Cases of GPA/SAT Discrepancy

What are the most extreme cases of High Gpa/Low SAT or vice versa you have encountered?

Do you think my 1450 (old + 780 W) are incongruous with my 3.6?

I'm never quite sure if they are.

nah, your SAT is better- much better.

I have about a 3.6 GPA and a 2190 SAT (1500 M+V, 690 writing.) This seems rather incongruous, as many of the lower-tier schools I have researched seem to have average SAT scores of about 1000-1100 old SAT and average GPA’s of 3.5-3.7.

I have seen students with unweighted gpas of 2.7-9 and SATs ranging from 1410-1540.

My friend currently has a GPA of maybe 3.0, but an SAT of 2200

I knew a guy who failed to graduate from highschool but had a 1580 on his first and only attempt at the (old) SATs.

my cousin (purposely) failed a class, and graduated with a cumulative GPA of about 2.5. the first and only time he took the old SAT- no prep, he got a 1560.

I got a 2.9 GPA and 2080

My GPA is 3.3 UW/3.7 W. My SAT is 2190.

2130 (1410)
217 psat
91 ave.
incongruous?

I know someone who had a pretty big GPA/SAT discrepancy. He got a 1600 on the old SAT. I'm not sure exactly what his GPA was, but probably around a 3.0 unweighted, if not lower...

see..some schools are such bs like this.
4.2 GPA 1260 on new SAT
one of my friends who attend a crappy school in L.A got a 4.6 ad his new SAT score was 1480

shows you got a good score on sat.

My (other) friend is like #5 in our class (of 600), but she got below a 1800 on the new SAT. She's taking the PR prep classes now.

Sorry Ididn't mention her earlier. She wasn't in my mind. Ergh, she annoys me. >_< some friend, eh?

shows you got a bad score on sat.

Yes. Yes, it does... o_O What is your point?

3.75 uw (approximate), 2330 SAT.

^ dats no discreptancy. seriously. 3.75 unweighted is awesome

3.75 is still a good UW gpa though, especially if you take the hardest classes (which I'm sure you do) at a hard school.
