What are the most prestigious ivy league school besides HYP? Can you rank them in prestige? Where does Penn rank?

what do u mean besides hyp? besides penn, i’d say hyp.

I mean not including Harvard, Yale and Princton. We all know that they’d top the list but after that. So ur saying Penn would be after HYP?

really? are you seriously asking this question? i swear this is asked in every ivy thread…

Prestige is relative to the person, and thus ranking schools in terms of prestige is futile… Many people in california, for example, hold the belief that Stanford and UC Berkeley are the two most prestigious schools. People in Cambridge, Massachusetts, will probably argue Harvard and MIT. However, people who realize that “prestige” is relative will contend that any person going to any of these schools, the rest of the ivies, etc. Especially those in the upper echelons of academia will value a Penn degree just as much as a Columbia, Brown, Princeton, Amherst (… and so on) degree.

In other words, besides the fact that you’re asking an ignorant question, all of the top colleges are prestigious, regardless of whether they are in the ivy league. It’s more important to pick colleges based on “fit” and quality within your major of interest rather than prestige.

HYP is second to Wharton. Just putting it out there…

The most prestigious schools in the U.S. are, in order:

Harvard

Yale

Princeton

Amherst

Bowling Green

Swarthmore

Haverford

Carnegie Mellon

Purdue (tie)
Penn (tie)

Johns Hopkins

MIT

UC-Berkeley

Colorado School of Mines

Dartmouth (tie)
Vanderbilt (tie)

Duke

Rhodes

Michigan (tie)
Kansas State (tie)

This is based on actual research and is not disputed by anyone.

^ not disputed by anyone… well then, I guess I stand corrected hahaha

What in the world is bowling green? :/

you jerk this list out of your coc.k? what the fuc.k is the Colorado school of mines

I find it hard to believe that Michigan/Kansas State is better than Cornell/Columbia.

UM at times can be better than Cornell and Columbia. Kansas most likely is not

However, I find it ridiculous that Purdue, Bowling Green, Colorado school of Mines and Rhodes are better than Cornelle, Columbia, Brown and UMich.

Lol, Bowling Green? Bowling Green is in Ohio and people who go there are the people who usually can’t get into Ohio State.

Don’t shoot the messenger!

I love how everyone understands sarcasm/ a joke

Wow you guys got ■■■■■■■ hard.

1 Berkeley
2 Stanford
3 MIT
4 Michigan
4 UCLA
6 Duke
7 Dartmouth
8 Columbia
8 Cornell
10 Chicago

12 Brown

Ha-ha-ha, ho-ho-ho, what a stupid list! Everyone knows that Blah Blah is more prestigious than Blah Blah! Only idiots go to Blah Blah! You’re so stupid!

I can’t believe this thread even exists. So pathetic.

Well in this society prestige can get you something more than just goin to a state school.

Really? Are you that insecure that you need to ask this question? Please find other ways to waste your time and feed into your idiocy that don’t involve posting on CC.

ChoklitRain must have also jerked that list out of his co.ck. ;)
