Which boarding school is the most underrated, in your opinion?

St. Andrews

Kent School

swissbrit- do u go 2 kent?

The Hill School

No I might apply as a late applicant though…

NMH …or Kent :/

Mid-Atlantic schools like Mercersburg and St Andrews

^^agreed. 10char

Peddie School

swissbrit- oh okay cool

Governors Academy

Taft …

Peddie and Concord academy

Many of the single-gender schools

All of the above are good candidates for MUPS, but please consider adding to this growing list of schools the Episcopal High School.

On this board, there are only a handful of schools that are discussed frequently. As a result there are hundreds of boarding schools not discussed frequently, and all of these would qualify as underrated.

I guess my first vote goes to any quality non-New England boarding school.
My second vote goes to Blair Academy, which I know well. It is a quality school on many criteria.

Fill in your definition of “quality.”

Underrated maybe, but if we talk about “under covered” therefore “under valued”, schools like NMH and Blair which have one or more parents constantly post or answer questions may not qualify the MOST?

Concord… Their average SAT score and matriculation are fantastic, yet people have never heard of it/think of it as a 3rd tier school, or the like… Then again, it has a large day population, which makes it less of a “traditional” BOARDING school, I suppose.

St. Andrews, definitely.
