Kent School.

TheMatrix- Do you go to Kent ?

No, I applied. Waitlisted, unfortunately.

Westminster School

Unlucky, I might apply there as a late applicant.

when r u applying as a late applicant? i dont understand how that all works out (late applying)

Swissbrit, you should absolutely apply. Bookluver, you just apply the same way as usual, except you do it after the school’s deadline. If you applied to, say, Deerfield, after Jan 15, you would be considered a late applicant.

oh okay. do u have the same chances of getting accepted?

Book, usually you have a significantly lower chance of getting in than if you applied on time. Plus, financial aid can be hard to get if you apply late.

okay… so u usually dont want to apply late unless you need/want to

Bumpity bump bump

okayyyyyyyyy

foxcroft school in Virginia

tabor academy

The Annie Wright School in Tacoma, WA.

I agree that some single sex schools like emma willard and miss porters are way underestimated

Same with the all boys schools. They all (the all-girls and all-boys) get overlooked. Many people won’t even consider them. Then, when they get arm twisted to look, often times they find the perfect school for them. I know several students at a single-gender school (both boys and girls) who originally said no way.

For those of us who did attend sinlge gender schools I doubt we would trade that experience for the current model of coeducation. There was something about it that felt special, something that coeducation cannot duplicate.

While academics would be virtually the same whether single-gender or not, the absence of girls (in my case) alleviated the very real stress that the dynamics of boys learning (let alone living with!) with girls brings into daily interaction. It simply was not there!

But, boy, did we appreciate girls when we got together with them! As the French would say: “Vive le difference!”

thats funny taft is not top 10 in part due to their academic standards or lack there of for athletes

taft is tier 2
