First off, would I really need a motor vehicle for most of my college career? I will probably get a job and get involved in internships. Would it be wise to buy a motorcycle which could make getting around much easier. It would be cost efficient due to the gas mileage and cost of the bike itself. Insurance might even be cheaper. I do not want the bike to show off or be a hot shot, just think it would be an enjoyable form of cheap transportation. Is this really stupid and I may not use it or smart and productive? Also depending on where I end up going to school the weather could effect it but I am not sure to what degree. Parking could be easier as well. Any advice?

Insurance is much cheaper.

The only real questions you should be asking are: can I afford it? Where’s the closest Motorcycle Safety Foundation course? Am I comfortable with the fact that my likelihood of dying in a crash is much higher on a bike than in a car? Am I ready to wear the proper gear even if it’s really hot outside?

A lot of students at my school have motor scooters and they seem pretty useful. Personally I’d rather have a car because of the safety and weather factor.

^^^^ In Florida you don’t need insurance
