Thanks for the guess...:) it's a great news that it will come earlier, 'cause April 1st is like...indefinite to me...

Yeah, I just read the page on ISIS and it said that internationals do not receive emails. We receive a mailed response and confirmation on ISIS.

I just got an email from MHC and it said decisions are out! on ISIS!
so I checked immediately, and I'm accepted RD from CA :).

MHC makes DD 3 for 3...
Doesn't get much better than this!

I'm IN! I'm so excited!!!!!!!And they gave me very generous financial aid!
Anyone here applied to Wellesley or Smith and got in too?

I got accepted, with a 15,000/yr Leadership Award. :)

yippieeeeee!!!!!! I GOT INNNNNNN

Congrats guys!!!

I just got in today too! Couldn't believe it!
And got a supercool fin aid, very generous, almost covering the whole cost of attending!!!
I'm from Romania, by the way, is anyone else from Ro on this thread too?Good luck to y'all!

My daughter received an email last night (8pm) saying decisions are posted online. Have you checked ISIS?

This is going to sound so horribly silly, but here goes:

I got accepted, which is really exciting, but I checked my financial aid and I'm completely horrified. With the amount that my family is expected to pay, I don't think I can attend Mt. Holyoke at all!

I just wanted to make sure though, under the "Awards" tab, the amount stated as "Total Resources" would be the amount we're expected to pay? And when they wrote "Financial Need $0" they're saying they figure we don't need financial assistance at all?

When I completed my financial aid forms I asked for quite a bit of aid (my family's far from rich), so this is very worrying!

Iggy, I think your financial aid will be presented in the packet you are going to receive rather than online. Don't panic yet.

no no no...Iggy you were looking at the wrong chart for you financial aid package...did you notice that there's another chart below the one you are talking about? That is where you'll find your financial aid information--they list the items the school will pay for you, as well as your campus work and loan--add those numbers up, multiply it by 2, and this is gonna be the approximate amout of your financial aid package.

MHC is needbased when giving financial aid...so if you've applied for it and indeed need financial aid after they've calculated your need, it's 100% met. so don't panic!

btw, I myself was really horrified when I saw the words in bold: "Financial Need: $0"..I need quite a lot of aid too! Ahhh...but then I found the chart below, and I was like "phew...thank goodness!" :D

Thanks for the reply Budweiser!

Yeah I saw the second table, but unfortunately even with the package listed there, my need is far from met. I need quite a lot of aid, but after deducting the amount of aid, I'd still have to pay $37,000, which is A LOT for my family.

Ahhh oh well. =)

Is Mt. Holyoke one of your top choices then?

I'm in - with some really sweet Fin Aid, too!! :)

I was so excited when I logged into my e-mail - I have Gmail and I saw "Mount Holyoke College - Your Admission Decision - Dear Brittany: We are delighted to let you know ..."

So, I started screaming. Only to actually CLICK on the e-mail and see "... that your admission decision is now available online." I panicked ahahaha. But all is good! :)

Congrats to all of those who are also hearing good news!

My daughter just got into Smith, MHC, and Bryn Mawr but --results posted online and with an email - but we don't see anything with respect to financial aid. Several of you mentioned awards -- did you get them with your admissions letter?

If you log into the Financial Aid section of ISIS (one of the links from the Main Menu), one of the tabs at the top should say Your Awards. On this page, there's two charts - award information is the second chart. :)

I also got accepted, with an offer to attend Experience Diversity. I'm pretty excited. It might help me decide between Smith and MHC. Although I'm sort of leaning towards Smith...

Congrats to everyone who got in! My mom happened to check the website today and it had the acceptance letter and financial aid information there, haha. They were very generous with aid and scholarships! I haven't made my decision yet (still waiting for decisions/finaid from a few other schools) but the financial help is a big factor. Congratulations again to all who applied!

Iggy Iggy...are you sure you have written the correct amout of aid when you filled out the International Student Financial Aid Application? If so, and in case you do not have things like tax returns or parent income certificate go wrong, it is really unlikely that MHC doesn't meet your need...they are need-based...

OK, and another possibility: if you are admitted for spring entrance, the chart lists only the aid amount for ONE TERM, not ONE YAER...so you need to multiply the amout by 2 to get the total financial aid package.

yes MHC is one of my top choices, but I'm still waiting for some other results.

Iggy I'm really sorry if they did not meet your full need, but I think if this is the case, you should contact the financial aid office and get this sorted out. They are supposed to be need-based, and they have always been. Maybe it's just they made a mistake when calculating your need or something.

Good Luck, and Dickinson is absolutely awesome!
