I’m going to venture a guess either to tomorrow or the 19th. No offense, or anything, but I’m really, really glad I’m not the only kid who is waiting for this to be over and that freakin letter in my freakin email inbox.

Hi! Congratulations to everyone who got in!! I am very happy for you, guys:) I am also an international student, so we gotta be patient… Everything will be great!!!

@Bossf51 That’s possible… although I’m not sure I fit in any of those categories and I heard back. I have a feeling it could have been alphabetical?? I have no idea though. But my last name starts with an ‘Ab…’ so that could have been it.

Either way, hope everyone hears back soon! good luck! :)

Also an international, although I had a lot of contact with MHC over the past few months, I haven’t heard anything from them recently…
I really want to get a place badly. It’s even worse because I’ve not heard from the other schools I applied to
The wait is killing me!

^Yeah, this wait is proving waaay more hazardous than I could have imagined!

I’m not sure about the alphabetical thing, because my last name starts with an A…idk. It sounds even more confusing now if we know for sure there it’s not all for merit aid or the most competative pool.

Gah…I have a feeling nothing is coming tomorrow either. :/

I don’t know if it’ll make you guys worry less, but my stats were definitely not the greatest. I really think Mount Holyoke looks at the whole application, not just the numbers, so take heart.

I dunno about the ‘strong applicants getting mails first’ thing, I’m a pretty strong applicant all over, with an SAT and gpa well over mt holyoke’s 75th percentile (2230, rank 1, national awards and many state awards), but I didn’t get anything yet. I must admit (at the risk of sounding arrogant) that I don’t think I’m a weak applicant at all for MoHo. But then I’m also an international student, so maybe that makes a difference…

No colleges seem to be doing things “as usual” this year. I don’t know if there is a rhyme or reason. I know that nothing is making sense to me. I spent months researching profiles for schools and it seems to be going right out the window.

Nope. They might be able to tell though your writing supps or such if you were interested in them or a potential ‘fit’, but lol, no way they will reject you for not being totally in love with them.

Lots of candidates don’t really fall in love with the schools they apply to until they ARE accepted.

I got accepted and received the admission decision by email on Wednesday!!! (I checked it today.) I live in Florida and my last name starts with a C.
