I will be in Boston on business and am trying to see if I can take my daughter to both Mount Holyoke and Smith in one day. Can anyone let me know if that would work out. Thanks!

Oh, definitely. No problem. Leave early in the morning and do one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Peak at Hampshire and Amherst, too, while you're in the area.

Thanks, mythmom. It looks like we'll arrive late the night before and will visit Mount Holyoke in the morning and Smith in the afternoon. If I can get away early we'll try to arrive the afternoon before and swing by Hampshire and Amherst.
Can you recommend a reasonable place to stay for the one night?

I hope you enjoy your visits. The most convenient for a morning visit to Mount Holyoke would be the Willitts Hallowell, right on campus. Willits-Hallowell Conference Center
That is where we stayed when we looked at MHC and have stayed multiple times since.
It has the convenience factor of being right on campus, but is rather plain.
The Daniel Stebbins House is a B&B just a minute away from campus. All rooms are on the second floor, however, and if you have a problem carrying your luggage up stairs.....otherwise, it is very nice (have stayed there as well) their website follows (although it reads "index")

A bit of a drive away would be Amherst/Holyoke. You can find a Marriott Courtyard or a Holiday Inn express. The Courtyard is quite nice. I have not stayed at the Holiday Inn.
Enjoy! Let us know what you and your daughter think!!

I really like the Northampton Inn in Northampton. It may cost a little more is is definitely worth it.

Do you mean the Hotel Northampton?
