Mount Leadership Society Scholars Program?

Hi all!

I’m planning to major business and when I was applying, I did apply for Honors and Scholars program and got accepted to Mount Leadership Society scholars program.

I’m happy that i got into this program, but just a quick question, why would they put me in this program? I mean i clearly indicated that I’m planning to major business. Would it be because my common app essay was about leadership? Also, it is said that they accept 100 freshmen to this program, so does it mean this program is more prestigious than Business Scholars Program?

Just a question, am very happy to get into this program. Anyone else accepted to Mount Leadership Society Scholars Program?

I knew someone in the program, several years ago, and she enjoyed the experience. She said it inspired her to be more involved on campus.

I don’t believe any of the scholars programs are more prestigious or particularly better than the others, but you will certainly be able to put it on your resume and talk about your experiences in it during future internship interviews. It will be a good thing for you, even if it is unrelated to your major. I couldn’t say why you weren’t put in the business scholars programs, but it won’t affect much more than your living situation. It may be that the business scholars program was already full.
