"Mountains Beyond Mountains" by Tracy Kidder - STEP

Anyone else reading this book for STEP? I was wondering how important understanding this book is for the Summer program. I have only started it the other day and was wondering if I should reread it to make sure I know and understand EVERYTHING about the book.

For me at least, there’s two types of reading I do. The type for enjoyment and just plain reading and the type where I analyze EVERY single detail and memorize EVERY little fact.

Obviously I would just like to read the book; but if I need to be seriously on to of it I would do the other.

Anyone who’s done STEP in past years or going this year know?

Lol. I’m a tad bit ridiculous - I know. haha.

Honestly, we barely used the book last year in STEP. It was referenced maybe once or twice, but it really depends on the teacher. I think reading it once is more than enough. If the teacher asks for specifics from the book, it won't be too much in detail. Congrats into getting into STEP! I hope you'll enjoy it much more than I did =P

I started reading it yesterday, only on chapter 2 though.

Less then half way into the book at the moment. I find Paul Farmer sooooo inspiring...

Coincidental that we're both going to STEP and we're both vegetarians totakeke =]
