<p>we arrive September 4th, so do we move in that day? are the dorms open for us? what do we do with our stuff if not....</p>
<p>also, parents are supposed to come on the 11th i think, if they're helping us move in does that mean they have to fly separately than us? or can they come september 4th also... And since move in day isn't until the morning after we get back, will our dorms be open then?</p>

<p>My take on it is that parents can come on the 4th to drop off for CA/OA, but the student may or may not be able to move-in (depending on whether or not the roommate is also in CA/OA). There is a parent breakfast on 9/4, but the “real” parent events happen on 9/11 with the “official” move-in. The general consensus was that it was a matter of personal preference depend on how far one was traveling. If flying, it seems like you can show up with as little or as much as you like on 9/4 and parents can come to either or both (9/4 & 9/11). We are driving and will bring everything on 9/4 and D will either be able to move-in on 9/4 or everything will be stored on-campus until 9/11. Either way we are driving back the following weekend for the “official” move-in. It is about a 7 hour drive one-way for us.</p>
