movies at the uc...

how big is the theater where they show the movies? is it usually crowded?

It's not the best environment for watching movies, but it's tolerable. Crowdedness depends very much on what movie is showing; if it's some artsy thing, there are tons of empty seats; if it's a comedy that was a major hit, then the place will be packed, you might not get tickets if you don't go early, and you might be kind of annoyed during the movie because everyone will be laughing and yelling and you won't be able to hear it. I speak from experience.

It is kinda like a normal movie theatre where I come from. Lots of college kids and teens.

basically it's a huge auditorium and they show the movie. It's not plush or anything, but it's $1.

How old are the movies?

Not the newest but I think they show 'em before they come out on DVD.

What are some movies that are showing at the UC now?

Didnt they show a porn movie or something?

Yeah, they show "TBA" movies every so often. TBA implies porn... CMU actually popularized the movie Pirates after it started a huge controversy in the Pittsburgh media. I think it sold out multiple times the night it was shown. (It's not that CMU students are more into porn than students at other colleges... certain TBAs just get a lot of hype).

wait....they seriously show porn?

Yeah. I think most people just go for a laugh, because the idea of watching porn in a crowded auditorium is just so ridiculous.
