<p>Sorry for another thread on being deferred. I got the bad news from Duke earlier today, and it still stings. I'm looking for some advice on what I should do moving forward. </p>
<p>I plan to update my SAT scores, as I got around a 2340 superscore in December, and update with 1st semester grades (obviously). </p>
<p>Could I:
-request additional rec letters? I already submitted 2 teachers and the counselor, and even did an additional one from my piano teacher.
- call the regional admissions officer/ have my counselor call? Maybe I could let them know Duke is still my #1 choice and find out what exactly got me deferred (although I suspect it was my >10% class rank).
- have my counselor include more things to say about me in his mid-year report?
-could I even ask for another interview? I saw somebody do this for another school on CC, and was just wondering if this was a heard-of practice.</p>
