Moving from SoCal to Berk?

Haha, yea... I haven't played since 2005, but I heard that for some CAL residence halls they have game nights at the computer labs nearby? If that's so, then maybe I'll get back into some light gaming. Dude, when StarCraft2 comes out, I've got to control myself from playing too much! Zergling rush ftw.

Onigen: Dude, I don't play games but StarCraft 2 is an exception

Ahh...thanks for the insight guys =)
I'll be visiting soon, so I can draw my own conclusions...
As for the 40% Asian thing...DAYAMN!

UCLA has over 40% of Asian student body, too. So, don't be surprised.

Hmm.. I wonder why there are so many Asians in good schools, ex. Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA, etc...

Asians are only 10% of California population and still a minority.

Maybe the 'Smart Asian' stereotype is true.

Meh, I know with Korean culture it's mostly due to its history of placing high priority on education. But, dude, there are some Asians I know who aren't so smart. Or would those be considered outliers...? Hm...

Asian families typically push their children to do well much more and much harder than the average family. Generally, anything less than perfect is unnacceptable. They are also pushed to go to the best schools, like UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford.

^ One possible theory to explain the % asian population.

cultural.

it's been proven with math.

40% of UCB is Asian and yet they still have such profound trouble operating
a motor vehicle...

Dude, if you hate their driving, don't ever drive around in China! People will cut you off like crazy and change 3 lanes within one signal light to another during rush hour.

i have to admit i've been to china once and i sat in a cab
i thought i would die that day. i swear i almost ****ed my pants
and he kept telling me, don't worry u don't have to wear ur seat belt
i was like woooooooooooord
i m pure 100% chinese so are my parents
but hey erm... they don't really care if i get into cal poly or riverside, they were actually amazed i made it to CC
i dun think asian families push their children after their late teens
i think we are driven by competition by our surroundings, like if everyone around u is like hella smart... u wanna be hella smart too...
so its more like a chain reaction domino effect.

oh oh oh... the "smart asian" stereotype is actually not very true
its cuz they really put effort into every detail. your typical "smart" asians don't sleep in class. its more of discipline and respect for the teacher, and to the educational institution and not let them down, its more like a moral duty.
well to put it in easier terms, we don't **** around lol
if u actually give the "smart azns" IQ tests i think most will get screwed.

don't misunderstand i m not one of the "smart" ones... i don't work hard and i don't get screwed on IQ tests. i m laaaaaaaaaaaaazy
