MS in Engineering Management as a business undergrad?

I’ve recently started exploring graduate degree programs and my university’s MS in Engineering Management program strongly interests me. I’d be taking a few business courses, a few engineering courses, and a few electives in the concentration of my choice.

My concern is doing this program having come from a business school for undergrad. Although I haven’t spoken to any advisors regarding this program, there isn’t anything in the application process that requires engineering as undergrad. My major was MIS (management information systems), so it’s a bit more technical than let’s say finance or marketing, but not quite as technical as engineering.

Prior to learning about this program, I was somewhat interested in an MBA. However, as a career, I’m most interested in the technology field, so I feel that the engineering management program would be more likely to lead me there.

Do you think the MS in Eng. Mgt would be the appropriate program for me?
