Hello everyone,

I'm a junior in ECE at UT Austin with a GPA of 3.1. I'm interested in Power Systems in EE. I took my GRE and I got 1460 (800 Quant & 660 Verbal) & a 5 on the essay. I'm currently working as an undergrad research asst. & have published some papers. The prof I'm working for told me that he would give me an excellent recommendation.

I can graduate by December, so I have been researching on Grad Schools. First of all, I'm not sure if I can get into good schools (top 10 including UT) Can you guys tell me/ guide me if I can get into the top 10-20 schools with my current performance at UT? Even if I extend my graduation by 6 months, my GPA can be boosted upto 3.15 by December, which is the deadline for Fall '10.

Also, can anyone point me to the minimum GPA requirements for ECE for schools like Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin - Madison, UIUC, GT, Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley, UCSB & UCLA.

I'm amazed at the information available in this forum! Thank you all for the contributions!
