<p>It stands for "making student connections" call - a student calls and asks if you have any questions about CMU. If they don't call tonight, you can probably expect a call this week. I don't know if it means you're accepted or not, since my son got his msc call before they even had his mid year grades. But that's what it is.</p>

<p>Carnegie Mellon called my house twice today but I wasn't home and they didn't leave a message. But on my "Where Am I In the Process?" page it does not say anything about MSC Call #1. Oh well, I hope it's good news :).</p>

<p>Acceptance letters are being mailed out today, and phone calls will start April 1st. Calls will be made during these hours (eastern time):</p>
<p>1.) Mondays - Thursdays 5pm-9pm
2.) Sundays 2pm-6pm</p>
<p>I'm a current student, and they've sent out an email looking for callers. Maybe I'll talk to some of you. Good luck! </p>

<p>I was told that it is not a mandatory call and many who have not got the call still got in.</p>
<p>yea i think the call was just their way of seeing if their applicants have any issues that need to be addressed.</p>

<p>neither...I got a phone call inviting me to diversity weekend thing. They didn't tell what college but they told me I was accepted.</p>
