MSU '14 transfer acceptance yet?

Anyone get anything?

^Not yet.

is there some sort of timeline?

Nothing here either. I have a family friend who knows the Admissions director; he checked with him and said they are crazy behind this year.

@Hopsin, 12 weeks.

http://admissions.msu.edu/admission/transfer_timeline.asp

On the 28th it’ll be 12 weeks. They received my transcripts and everything around then, too. So there should be no excuses >.>

Don’t believe the “12 weeks” thing. I applied November 19th and 12 weeks were up on February 11th. My transcripts were in by the end of November. My GPA is pretty solid but I’m still panicking…

They started looking at applications last Wednesday. I was also told that we may not hear anything until March.

accepted

3.5 gpa with 18 credits and 17 pending(currently being taken)
also completed wra and calc 1.

Congrats @hopsin! Still waiting, my status still says “currently being reviewed.”

My application was reviewed today and I have to resubmit it at the end of the semester. Because I am just now taking the equivalent to to their Math 1825 at my university.

SOMEONE PLEASE ASSES ME:
My college GPA is 2.94 at Ithaca College(small school in new york)

I am Hispanic, apparently this is a very big deal. I wrote my essay on how I feel I could bring culture to the state community. I applied in high school got differed and never sent my second semester grades. Will that affect anything? Think I have a decent chance of getting in as a media and information (ba) major. My major at my school is Emerging Media Computation. Also I am taking the math requirement right now, can they accept me before they see I finish it? They said they could.

any chances? thank you!

44 credts^^^

Its very difficult to say! Honestly though, they are not as excited about GPAs below a 3.0 and they usually prefer in state applicants. However, a great essay can make a huge difference! Plus they really like to see that you applied again!

Good luck!

I have applied to Michigan State University, as a transfer student with under 28 credits.

High school GPA and dual enrollment: 2.75

ACT Score: 31

College GPA: 3.89 ( finished calc and eng requirements)

What are my chances??

I got in!!! Yay :slight_smile: Best wishes to everyone!

@yahya7534 I think the only issue you might have is not having 28 credits, I know a few people that have not gotten in because of this. HOWEVER: you have a really strong GPA and they will love that you finished your gen eds, I’d say pretty good chance!

@greenappleok did you find out online or did you receive a letter?

@fiction118 short answer: online.
Long answer: they sent out a vague email that says “your portal has been updated.” So I went to login on my portal and there’s a link to a letter. I haven’t received anything in the mail (yet).

thanks @greenappleok this will keep me from obsessively checking the website & can just wait for an email! (actually I will probably keep checking constantly) :O

Also congrats btw!!! Will you be attending?
