Have any of you gone and visited MSU as well as some other Big 10 Schools? tell me what stood out to you about MSU in comparisson to the others. or if you already made MSU ur choice for sure, lemme kno why. im goin to visit in 3 weeks, but yea i just want a lil heads up u kno? =P

Last summer I went and visited MSU and UW-Madison. From the minute I stepped foot on campus, MSU just felt right. It is a sprawling, suburban campus and
I liked everything about it. The orientation and tour were really informative and interesting.
The next day, I went to Madison and as soon as I pulled up to the campus, I knew I wasn’t going to like it. Although it is on a lake which is cool and nice, the campus was more city like. I felt like I was in downtown Chicago. I sat through the orientation and skipped the walking tour. The whole time there I was comparing UW to MSU and MSU always came out on top.
So- I made my decision and I am going to be a Spartan!
Good Luck!

^^ sounds good.

anyone else?

Academically I know MSU peers are usually Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana and Iowa and often Ohio and Pennslyvania. Other Big Ten schools of peers: Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Northwestern ( well actually Northwestern is in a league of its own).
Campus life you, or at least from my research, Indiana and MSU are very similar.

I visited U-Mich. It was alright, the buildings were really pretty but the campus was spread out ad interspersed throughout the town of Ann Arbor. It wasn’t as cohesive as MSU and in general, MSU has a lot more naturistic setting with the Red Cedar running through it and a lot more pretty trees.
