MSU letters of acceptance

When is the usual time frame for an acceptance/rejection letter to arrive?
I know it says within 12 weeks, but I’ve seen people start to get their letters and I’m super nervous…
I’m out of state btw

The first round went out in mid October but that was only to those with a very high GPA and a very high ACT/SAT. The 2nd round just started going out today. My daughter applied 8/29 and just heard back today so that was 9 weeks. She was accepted and has a 4.0 WGPA, 3.8 Unweighted and a 1230 on the SAT. I wouldn’t worry…the length of time that people wait tends to have nothing to do with whether or not they are accepted or not. Hang in there.

@msuparent thank you so much! Ugh i’ve been so worried

My daughter applied 8/21 and was accepted 10/31. 3.92 unweighted, 1200 SAT, plenty of extra curriculars and leadership. Both her dad and I are MSU grads. Waiting was torture, especially after we saw some acceptances were going out! Hang in there! I agree…length of wait doesn’t usually determine if you will be accepted or not. Some admissions counselors are further along than others.

@4evrimaspartan thank you! The waiting it terrible :frowning:

Yes it is. It’s been almost 11 weeks for my son

@di74caza it’s been about 3 weeks now. What are his scores and GPA if you mind me asking? I had a 3.625 weighted and 1150 (520 math, 630 english, 5 5 5 writing)

Update: I just got accepted!

@djbaydawg if u don’t mind me asking, did u take a lot of APS/Honors? I have a 3.33(freshmen year I started off low but have a high upward trend in grades) and a 1280 SAT(660 math 620 reading) with pretty decent ECS. Only thing I don’t have on my side is APS and my low GPA from freshmen year. I’m SO nervous and applied in late September and still have not heard back…

I didn’t take a lot of APs. Only 2 Junior Year and 3 this year. My school is really competitive and I was no where in the top 25 lol. Your SAT is good tho. GPA is alright, not terrible. What about Extra-Ciriculars?

@djbaydawg I would have to say my Extra curriculars are above average for sure. I also have 2 full summers of volunteering which will hopefully give me a boost. I’m just starting to get worried because my application has said it is being reviewed by an admissions counselor for the past 8 weeks…
