MSU Spring 2011 admission-- What should I do??

I just received a letter offering me guaranteed admision for Spring 2011, and that I will still be considered for Fall 2010, a decision that will be given to me in Late May. So I guess this was good news but not the FULL good news I'm hoping to eventually get. So, some questions I have about this are
1) Is there a way I can maintain my guaranteed Spring admission WHILE STILL keeping myself in the mix to be chosen for the fall?
2) If in the undesirable case that I do not recieve fall admission, what should my course of action be? Get courses out of the way at OU or OCC so that I'm on pace with other MSU classmates? If so, should it be OU or OCC??
Thanks Everybody!!

Keep your grades up–hell, raise them if you can–right up through final exams. And have your GC call in and vouch for you if she can really pull for you (she has to know you, or at least know specific details about you and your interest in MSU/aptitude as a student for this to be effective).

Well if you plan to attend MSU and was admitted base on your current stats for Spring then attending a cc etc… could affect your status at MSU, aid etc… I guess you would just have to wait until the spring for school at MSU.

Is this Michigan State??

^^ Yes, Michigan State University

Take courses at a CC or anywhere you’d like.
Get some of your general education required courses out of the way.
Contact MSU to see which courses will transfer. Take some of the classes you consider boring but must take… Humanities, English…Math.

I transferred to MSU as an undergrad and stayed for grad school. It is an incredible place.
GO GREEN!

I don’t think that attending another college for a semester will matter to MSU. Just make sure the credits will transfer. Good luck to you!

i REALLY REALLY want to get into spring semester at state!
How did you do it?
Did you pick “spring semester” on the application or was it just offered to you??

How were your grades and ACT?

I don’t think i will make it to the fall semester at MSU with my 7.75 GPA, and 23 ACT with adiquet leadership and two varsity sports, so i am trying to apply to spring semester hoping it is less competative.

am i right in assuming that it will be slightly less competative?

Thanks, in advance, for your help
