U Rochester is ranked 26th in undergrad chem by the Gourman Report. Mount Holyoke is mentioned in Rugg's Recommendations for chem. U Rochester is affiliated with a hospital and medical school (adjacent to campus). Mount Holyoke is not. U Rochester has a great pre-med program and guartees admission to its med school to a small number of top undergrads. Mount Holyoke had 12 grads in chem last year and U of Rochester had 20, but Mount Holyoke is a smaller school. Mt Holyoke had quite a few chem grads for such a small school.
