How in the world do you edit or delete a post now? I accidentally posted the same thing twice!

SHould be a little circle in the right hand corner, you can edit up to an hour I think.

Congrats to your S on the CC call!

MTMommaJAA - that’s awesome! Coastal made it seem as if no one else would hear until all the auditions are over. I’m glad that there are some early notifications!

No edit circle for me…sorry…maybe it’s my browser

as far as I can tell, you can edit but not delete as if you had never posted anything.

That’s OK… good news merits double posting! Congrats!

Such ups and downs today. Congrats on the ups.

Yes definitely ups and downs. Congrats to everyone with acceptances! It’s nice to be able to feel joy for so many of you even though things are not going so well for us. We still have 7 decisions pending so I’m hoping for the best. One or two would be really nice.

@Doremimom when did she audition for PSU? Sorry for all the questions!

Wow, I’m off CC for 10 hours and so much happens!! So sorry for the “cuts” and congratulations on the acceptances! What a roller coaster!

@ddBroadway2 She auditioned for Penn State in Chicago at Unifieds on Feb. 4

My D’s decision was on her myPennState portal last night too – it’s a no. Auditioned Feb 5 in Chicago. On 2/19 her status changed to say “final review/decision in the coming days,” and on 2/20 in the evening there was a short rejection letter, inviting her to contact them to choose a different major if she was interested in doing so.

Ok thanks all! She keeps refreshing and refreshing mypennstate with a beating heart… It won’t let her sign in now and she’s FREAKING out that they are changing her status! I’m sorry about the rejections. This isn’t at all an easy business but I trust that our kids will be successful and happy wherever they go:) they are all so talented!

This hurts. I feel for all of your Ss and Ds as if the news was for my own. We’re still in limbo on S’s top choices. But I think we all knew what we were in for when we “allowed” our kids to follow this VERY difficult path. Statistically speaking, we knew - in our heads - what was likely to happen when we “let the chickens out”, but now that they’re coming in to “roost”, it’s more difficult than we, I at least, hoped it would be.

I wouldnt read too much into not being abe to sign in… same thing happened yesterday and our status stayed the same once we were able to sign in later in the day.

This is also the year of unprecedented high numbers of applications and each applicant being wildly talented. Definitely a tough year on both sides - choosing and being chosen.

I would 2nd GSOMTMom… this is a high numbers/high talent year. We have 10 auditioning from our studio and we can see across the board how tough this year is. In addition, in ANY given year we see one kid accepted into one top level school but rejected from other equally top level schools. There are so many factors that go into these decisions BESIDES how talented the student is…everything from type, to personality, who they are losing from their current Senior class, how many types are being seen in a year…all we as parents and educators can do is help them prepare for their best. These kids are amazing!!!

Anyone who may have auditioned for Montclair at unifieds in Chicago should check their status…D’s changed overnight to “yes” under her major/and next to the audition…that’s how we found out.

@frazzled… sorry I sent you a PM before reading this…thanks :)

Question for my cc confidential friends: D just received acceptance packet to TCU, it says accepted into BA: Theater, I don’t know if this means she didn’t get accepted into the BFA program or like others this is the general acceptance into the school and the BFA is still in play…I have left a message but thought I would see if anyone had any thoughts…thanks
