@bluestar226 I definitely wouldn’t worry about it yet, and hopefully not at all. Remember that people who haven’t gotten anything are less likely to post on forums :). Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

@bluestar, my daughter didn’t hear yesterday and we are in PA only an hour from Allentown, so I am hopeful it will arrive today. Good luck!

Good luck to everyone!

Re FA and scholarships… All DS’s merit/scholarships (from other colleges) came included with the acceptance notification, with any need-based aid coming later in a FA package (which also referenced the merit $$).

Do you are think that the fact that Muhlenberg’s acceptance letter had no scholarship info means that DS didn’t get any merit? On another CC thread it says that merit is given out by admissions while need based $$ is decided by FA Office.

Sorry for trying to second guess. We love Muhlenberg and were hoping (like all of us lol) for some merit as we are that typical middle class family that probably won’t qualify for much FA per FAFSA or CSS. Thanks!

Raincat, in short, no. I don’t have my D’s acceptance letter in front of me, but it speaks specifically to another mailing in late March that would give details re: merit aid. My D received 1/2 tuition merit from Denison, so I’d be shocked if she received nothing from Muhlenberg. Good luck, and fingers crossed!

Thanks sschickens! I think I need to step back from this whole process for awhile! I’ve never been very patient and this waiting is driving me crazy. For a few of DS’s schools he won’t even hear back until end of March. So I’d better “chill” lol. Nothing to do but wait.

@raincat, I’m in the same boat. It’s our first time thru this process, and it’s very nerve-wracking.

Hi guys, I just thought I’d join the conversation since i am also waiting to hear back from Muhlenberg! I live in Connecticut so I’m hoping I will receive my letter by the end of the week. Does anyone know much about the English or Teaching programs at Muhlenberg? that’s what I’m most interested in

D accepted in to Neuroscience - Norcal… Congratulations all. Really need some FA information to make the final call.

@pianosam, my D will most likely major in English. I hear the department has a very solid reputation, but I have no more to offer than that. D will attend accepted students day to find out more. Good luck!

My D got her envelope in Michigan yesterday.

Congrats to all those admitted to Muhlenberg! My D plans to study Media and Communication. Good luck to those families still waiting to hear!

sschickens Denison was also a contender for my D. She selected Muhlenberg because of the friendly community and nurturing faculty. My D also loved the variety of academic programs offered and it’s proximity to major media markets like NYC and Philly. Denison is gorgeous but Muhlenberg just felt right to my D.

As a parent of current Muhlenberg student I would “highly” recommend attending accepted students day. It is a great opportunity to get another look at the school and all that it has to offer. Clubs, activities, all the academic departments all have people available to answer all of your questions. Current students are all around and eager to guide you through the process. I think if you attend you will come away with a much clearer picture of the Muhlenberg community. . . besides getting to meet the other members of your class! Best of luck to everyone.

My S was accepted to the Neuroscience program…waiting on FA as well

@grasshoppa21 Thanks, that is very helpful. My D is planning on visiting both during her spring break. If you don’t mind me asking, was the Cost of Attendance for each school similar?

Bluestar, my S has also not heard yet. I believe a letter they sent out awhile back said they would start letting people know around 3/15 and all would hear by April (1st?). But it is nerve wracking when they don’t send all out on the same day. I am worried this means he is low on the list or not getting in.

@soccermom21 I haven’t received my letter yet either, and I’m getting nervous… haha

Nothing in snail mail yesterday.

Still waiting here also. I just called and a lady in admissions told me, “They are going out in waves, everyone would hear by April 10th.” That seems late to me. I thought it was April 1st. We’re in Florida so I know it may take a few days longer than those up North.

@caymangirl, was she referring to acceptance or to FA/merit?
