<p>I was recently taken off the waitlist at the college that I want to attend. I stayed on waitlists at a few other schools that I was still very interested in, but now that I got into my top choice, can/should I notify the other colleges that I don't need/want to be considered for their waitlists anymore?</p>
<p>If you wouldn't go to any of the other schools you were waitlisted at over the school you just got off the waitlist at, then definitely notify the colleges and tell them that you don't need to be considered for their waitlists anymore. You wouldn't "take up" a spot if you got in and still didn't go, but it's a courtesy to take yourself off, and makes the waitlist process easier in general for everyone else still waiting.</p>
<p>Yeah, that was what I was thinking - I definitely know how stressful the waitlist process is and I'd like to make it easier for everyone else still waiting. Thanks a lot for the quick response!</p>
<p>As for notifying colleges, should I email or snail mail? I suppose email has the benefit of getting there sooner.</p>
