Question about Waitlist

<p>This might be a silly question, but I just want to clarify so I'm absolutely sure - is it okay to accept spots on the wait list for more than one college if I'm still unsure about my decision? I got waitlisted to three colleges this week and I really like all of them. I've never really had a "top choice."</p>

<p>Now, of course I'm going to send in my deposit to the school that I've been accepted to - which I would be perfectly fine going to - but is it still okay to accept all three wait list spots just in case I'm admitted to one of them and decide to go?</p>

<p>Also, will the school I'm sending my deposit to/enrolling at be notified that I've decided to accept spots on the waitlist at the other three schools? There's a chance I'd still attend that school even if I was accepted off the waitlists at the other schools. Can they revoke my admission if they find out that I was accepted to another school off the waitlist?</p>

<p>Basically what I want to know is whether or not accepting more than one wait list offer can hurt me in any way :)</p>

<p>You can accept multiple waitlist invitations. Make your deposit but you aren’t bound to inform them of the other WL invites. If, by some chance, you get a later invitation, you inform school A that you will no longer attend and will withdraw. Wait lists are a commonly used tool. </p>

<p>Guess what? That slot you open up at school A by withdrawing?? They go to their wait list and offer it to another happy kid!</p>

<p>It can’t hurt. People do it all the time.</p>
