Music Ed and Engineering?

Is that even possible? I really like music, at least, a lot of people say I exhibit the qualities of having a passion for it and I'd like to teach it...but I also think I have what it takes to do engineering. My main motivation in wanting to study engineering is so that I can expose myself to the rigor as well as being able to take all these cool classes related to math and physics. Another benefit would be to be able to teach those subjects if I fall upon hard times(I don't see many open jobs out there for teaching music, but I do like it a lot) I'm kind of searching for the best of both worlds here...wondering if it's even possible. I also might have a little trouble with money(won't most of us?) I'm a hispanic female, I'm second in my class, I've played in the Texas All-State band, been drum major for 3 years, got a 33 on my ACT and a 2240 on my SAT, 5's in all the AP's I've taken(Cal AB, Physics B, WHAP, APUSH, Spanish, English Lang.) and plan to perform similarly next year. So I suppose this also a chance me post. Also, if it takes doing the whole college thing during the summer, I'd like to finish as fast as it is possible so as not to not kill myself and have a good time. Appreciate any help!
