Music Industry Decision Making Time!!

Hello, I'm pretty new to the forums, but have some questions regarding the quality of some schools I've been accepted to in the music industry/business/even technology field.

Acceptances I'm considering:
University of Puget Sound - Accepted like 20 minutes ago, I really don't know much about this one, but am very interested. I've heard a lot about the school, but not much music business-wise
Syracuse University - I visited/auditioned on campus and loved it there, school and program and everything; the only thing keeping me from that is my possible financial situation and the comparison with other programs

Duquesne University - More technology oriented, but they gave me so much money, I think I only need to pay half of tuition. It's my top choice, but my most financially sound one, and it's still an interesting school/program. Really though, I've considered production, but am much more interested in music business concepts.

I'm still waiting on NYU's Steinhardt program, since that's my top choice, and, unfortunately, the last acceptance to come out.

I'm mainly interested in more info on Puget Sound at the moment, because it seems like an interesting school/location, but the program it provides is what I'm most interested in.

There’s some info on this forum, and if you do an advanced title search using “music industry”, “music business”, “music tech(nology)”, music production, music management, you’ll bring up the pertinent threads. Use the quotes, and try the different permutations. I don’t suggest doing a search on the school name, as you’ll get tons of stuff, and wading through will be tedious. Most info will be performance related.

Trust me. I know what’s here. ;)

Syracuse, NYU. Duquesne all are solid, but you need to look at the specific degree paths and see if there are concentrations of coursework in the areas you want to focus. As you were accepted under music tech/business/industry I’m not sure where your focus will be. (If you want to specify program, degree type BA, BS or BM and at which institution, we’d be happy to post your acceptances to the Master List.

If you are concerned about finances, NYU is probably the most expensive, and the least likely to give you substantial scholarships, grants or aid. .

There’s not much U Puget Sound info here. It be a great progam.
