Music/theater for Non-Majors?

I’m a rising senior, and very interested in BU. My passion is in the performing arts; I’m a cellist, an actress, and a singer. However, I plan on being practical and majoring in Journalism or Communications. I saw that they offer a minor in theater, but what performance opportunities are there for non music or drama majors? Can I become part of an orchestra, or do shows?
Here are my stats
SAT 2060
Critical Reading: 720
Math: 620
Writing: 720
Essay: 11

ACT: 31

GPA: 3.9

Class Rank: 14 (out of 404)

I have ECs out the whazoo. Thank you!! Oh, and I’m hispanic, also very interested in NYU, but they don’t have a theater minor

I think that you have a pretty good shot at getting into BU with your scores. With a good essay to add to the mix it should be a good fit! And yes there are lots of different theatre groups/performance groups. There are smaller ones that do 3-5 shows a semester (Wandering Minds, Stage Troupe) and then there larger ones that do huge [and amazing] shows once a semester (BU on Broadway). There is concert band that you can participate in–one of my friends did concert band and loved it. There is also pep band which performs at hockey and basketball games and other events around campus.

Wow! That sounds great, thank you!
