@mommafaria - can you tell me when you submitted the prescreen?
Can those who have heard from Ithaca tell how they heard? i.e: snail mail, email, acceptd?

@Nordeal My D heard from Ithaca via Acceptd, and received an email alert. Break a leg to everyone auditioning this weekend! What an exciting journey this is! 
Anybody else waiting on Syracuse, Elon or Indiana? My D just submitted last weekend, and I know that isn’t much time lapse, but most of the other schools were a quick turnaround. Thanks so much.
@type1mom @jenniferm1973 - Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. My daughter submitted her MT pre screen on 9/23. We have not heard anything. I know someone who sent the prescreen a week or two after us that received a rejection via snail mail. I have no idea what to think! Syracuse lets you know in about 2-3 weeks via email but it often goes to Spam so check all of your boxes. Break a leg everyone!
@Nordeal my D also hasn’t heard a thing from Ithaca. I thought that for sure, yesterday would be the day. Last night I asked, “Are you sure you submitted everything?” She got mad at me. Oops. Break legs!
We’ve heard from Syracuse, Pace and FSU. Still waiting on Ithaca and Elon. I think Elon will release their decisions for Spring auditions on January 17th.
It is curious how some schools get back to you within a couple of days and others have a set time. Every school is different! And yes, some notifications do go to spam! Yikes!
Yes, @MTMOM17 . Last year Elon did their prescreen notifications on the January date that was posted on their site. Good luck!
@owensfolks - well at least I am in good company! We did not submit her SAT because I was waiting to hear about prescreen…I didn’t think we needed to at Ithaca…maybe I should!!
Ithaca’s site says “You will not receive any further notification regarding your prescreening until your applications (Common Ap and Acceptd) are complete.” @Nordeal - I think Ithaca is a test optional school but I would check with the theatre department or admissions, regarding if you are missing anything. Sometimes things just don’t upload the way you think they should.
Thanks @MTmama17. Her common app and prescreens are all showing as in and I sent the SAT today just in case. I think I will give it a few days before calling. I really don’t think that is the issue but who knows?! But on My Ithaca the only thing missing is her SAT score.
So Far- I have heard from SU + FSU both yes. I submitted Ithaca on Saturday and CMU on Sunday. I also sent my BU common app yesterday. Does anyone know how quick the turn around is for BU?
@crobbins55 My D submitted on 9/28 and heard back via email on 10/4 to set up her BU account and schedule her audition.
Anyone know if a school will extend their deadline for prescreen if you email and request with a reasonable excuse? Has anyone had to do that? And who do you contact? Thanks
If you haven’t heard from Ithaca and sent in a prescreen a while ago, you may want to make sure all your academic info has been sent to submissions. My S submitted his prescreen last Monday and almost to the hour got a response within a week today.
If accept’d says that it was submitted and all academic info is listed as received on My Ithaca should we call? My daughter submitted hers on 10/20 and hasn’t heard yet.
@belleforbroadway My D submitted her prescreen on 10/13 and has not heard either. Common App and related material was sent and received over a week before that. I think others have said that this is often the case at Ithaca.
Ithaca’s prescreen responses trickled out last year, with no rhyme or reason. I think that last year someone said that they have multiple auditors, and each reviews as their time allows. My D has also not heard back from them-but has double checked that she submitted everything. Here’s hoping for lots of happy yeses for those still waiting
It wouldn’t be such a big deal but we chose the December 9 audition date which is coming up fast. She sent her prescreen on 9/23. I did call because she did submit everything and on My Ithaca it says her audition results are received which I found really odd. Anyway, they said her decision is processing…no idea what that means! lol. and @Notmath1…you can certainly call about submitting a prescreen late but I really doubt they will say yes. It seems the schools have more kids applying than ever! But, it can never hurt to ask I guess.
