<p>The guidance counselor at my son’s school said you can submit a different essay by creating a new common app for yourself. I presume you’d have to reenter all of the data but it would give you chance to submit an improved version (at RD time) of the essay you submitted EA or, I suppose, an entirely different one. The comment on the common app that says the essay must be the same to all colleges did give me pause though. I recall the guidance counselor said there was some information about how to do this on the common app web site. Certainly, if you find out how there, it’s okay to do it. Good luck! Does anyone else know for sure?</p>
