Ill be applying for masters programs next year and have been reading over applications...how much does the question "must you receive financial aid in order to attend the university?" weigh into admissions?
If you say yes and they can't offer you aid, will they just toss out your app?
If you say no do they consider you last for aid?
While it would definately help to get aid, I would probably find a way to pay for it regardless so I dont know what to do...
Shouldnt there just be a box that says "i dont know yet"!?

That "simple" question is to ease the admission process in many programs so you should just answer those questions as honestly as you could. In many cases, the answer is yes to your two questions. If you could and willing to secure a private loan (e.g. CitiAssist) and/or external scholarship/funding, you should say "No".

I say answer honestly only to the schools that you KNOW you will ned financial assistance to attend. If your not sure, than don't tell them you wont be attending unless they hook you up.
