My Admissions Story

On March 14th I took the SAT. On March 17th I completed my GED after two months of 24/7 prep.
1110 SAT. Honors GED Social Studies
I applied to two universities.
ABAC (had no doubt I’d get in)
Georgia Southern (couldn’t live with the what if)

I got in to ABAC and I was overwhelmed. So happy. I was going to complete my core classes and transfer to Southern that was the plan.

On April 10th I was denied admission to Southern. No problem. I was focused. I knew my plan. I accepted the reality.

5 days later GSU retracted their decision. I learned of my acceptance and I have never been more thankful in my life.

If you have a GED don’t think that’s the end of the line.

A big congratulations and thanks for sharing your info.

congratulations! I’m glad Georgia Southern recognized and corrected their mistake so quickly.

Congratulations to you. Best of luck at GSU!

Congratulations! Good luck at GSU.
Keep in mind that the very low graduation rate comes from so many freshmen being lured into the various drinking spots - you’ll find them quickly. Make sure to adjust your choices in consequence - partying on weekends is fine, but never S-Thursday. The students at GSU who follow that simple rule typically do well.
Comeback to post once classes have started  you story will bring hope to many others and a follow up will sure be nice. Congratulations again
