<p>I recently got deferred and was wondering what you guys think my chances are for regular decision. My SAT was 1150 on the math and verbal and my gpa is a 3.85. My mid-year report consisted of:</p>

AP Physics 2- 96
Economics (H)- 95
Aerospace Engineering and Design (Magnet)- 100
PE- 100</p>

<p>Well, obviously your gpa was good, but the reason you may have been deferred EA was b/c of your SAT score. Though it's good, I dont' think it was good compared to the other applicants' scores. Still, your mid-year report is great, so I think you should get in.</p>

<p>Obviously there will always be exceptions, :p.</p>
<p>Georgia accepts people on a regional basis. Meaning that it''s much harder for students from Cobb, North Fulton, and Gwinett counties to get in because of the sheer amount of applicants.</p>

<p>i went to this thing in the summer. they let us spend the night and everything. there were kids from all over georgia. they sat us down and explained to us that we were there because they have low applicants from our areas. there were a bunch of people from columbus there. columbus has low applicants. so does dekalb county where i am.</p>

<p>absolutely if you are from one of those areas such as Columbus or DeKalb...They want to give oppertunities to everyone becuse it is after all, a public school. I'm from Cobb, and not to sound arrogant but the level of education here is far better than anywhere else in the state. I lived in Augusta prior to moving here and it isn't even comparable. Good luck guys...</p>

<p>yea i kno but i just felt like saying that. i dont think im goin to uga. and i havent been to any of the games but ive herd from my friends that they are VERY crazy.</p>
<p>edint44548....Davidson is not private. It is a magnet school. You just have to audition to get in. There are at least three good schools in Augusta. C.T. Walker (Elem. & Middle), A.R. Johnson, and Davidson. Davidson however, I think, is the only school that is nationally known, whilst the other two schools are only state known.</p>
