My AMDA audition today!!!

Hey guys, I wanted to share my experience (: This was my FIRST audition!!!! PLEASE let me know what you think about it aswell.. Since I dn't know what the auditors actually SAY to each person, I don't want to be too happy about my situation.

Let me begin by saying... I live in Long Island, and had to take the train. I woke up at 4 15, got ready and my train was at 5 15 or so. I arrived to NYC at 8, and it was pretty late considering I didn't know how to exactly go to AMDA. But, I called admissions and found out easily... I was the last person to register though lol.

People there were just sweet overall. Very friendly... I'm so glad this was my first audition, it makes me relaxed for the others like NYU and UCLA.

I went into a room full of people after entering the building, it looked very... BUSY! Then we were divided into 8 or 9 people of groups; actors, mt, dance all different... Everything went pretty fast... I was very nervous, I must say, but I talked to this girl who sat next to me, which created a genuine and less formal atmosphere... I think it's always good to talk and be friendly. Don't just sit there angrily lol ENJOY!!! Believe in yourself. You're the best.

Since I was the last, I went it. There was a beautiful, amazing blonde lady. ONE AUDITOR. But thank god she was so sweet... I said my name, and the pieces I will perform and just did it. She was laughing in parts of my comedic peice, and she was both writing AND watching at parts. It looked like She wrote A LOT. Then, the immediate thing she said was "Wow that was wonderful" "wonderful wonderful.." and then she said I looked like I did rehearse. Then she pointed out me being from Europe and she was saying how her daughter should go to my homeland and not London lol... She showed me her necklace which was from my homeland. It was just genuine and funny. She then showed my headshot to me and said I could be a model, and asked if I modeled, she said I had a photogenic face. Then she said she has never heard my dramatic piece, and asked me who wrote it, etc and said she will read it! Then I got ready to leave, she said thank you, very sweetly, and I said have a nice day and walked away for my interview!!!

Oh and they were recording the audition with a camera.

The interview was cool, for some people it might feel intense, but I love answering questions about philosophy or myself in general, so I loved it. The typcial question of "Where do you wnt to see yourself in 5 years" came, and I think I gave a nice answer to that one. Again, the most important is that I was just being myself and showing them how much I can give to their community.

Well, the auditor's action seemed GREAT to me, but, what do you think?

It sounds extremely positive, Reveriece. Congratulations, and good luck on your future auditions.

Yeah? So not all the others get the same comments?
